VIS Racing Sports, Inc. has been at the forefront of automotive restyling since 1996. They started the ultra-aggressive style in body kits for sport compact cars in Southern California. The trend quickly spread from the West Coast to East Coast. In a matter of a few years, their styles were found in many parts of the globe. This trend culminated with the release of the movie, "Fast and Furious" (2001), in which they were one of the sponsors. They were not content with the status quo and continued to bring new products to the restyling scenes. Their carbon fiber hoods and trunks are the de facto standard "Grade A" against which other competitors in the world are measured. Their carbon fiber products are number one in the industry, and their popularity can be seen on the streets as well as car shows alike. VIS Racing Sports is also making inroads into the Japanese market with the help of their partner in Japan. Their products can be seen in Japanese magazines, such as Auto Fashion and Options magazines.
VIS Racing Sports participation with Hollywood did not stop in 2001. On the contrary, it was just the beginning. They provided two fully modified '02 RSX and '03 Eclipse, with their patented GT Bomber and Torque kits; respectively, for the Warner Brother's movie, "Torque" (2004). The beginning race sequence shows these two street demons racing on the highway. Their latest partnership with Hollywood can be seen in Lindsay Lohan's "Herbie: Fully Loaded" (2005), in which their patented GT Bomber body kit and EVO style carbon fiber hood were featured on the 1997 Eclipse. On another front, VIS Racing Sports products are featured in numerous video games with racing themes, some of which include Electronic Arts' "Need for Speed: Underground 2", "Juice", "Forza Motorsport 1 & 2".
VIS Racing Sports has gone through many stages of growth, but none can be more drastic than the one they experienced in the year 2004. In 2004, they acquired Wings West, a name that should be familiar to anyone in the restyling industry. It was a much revered brand against which other competitors strived to be second.
VIS Racing Sports has expanded their warehouse from 45,000 square feet to over 82,000 square feet, their inventory is ample, and they strive to provide the fastest shipping possible.
Initially founded in San Diego, California in 1993 and then migrating in 1995 to Newport Beach, California, and then again in 2002 to Santa Ana, California Wings West today has some of the most sought after products in the industry.
Certainly, no company grows from producing a handful of parts to over one hundred thousand in a year without strong customer demand. Of course, the real question is why are Wings West products red hot while others merely simmer?
Well, there is no one singular aspect, but rather many that are creates such a demand for these styling products. It's said that imitation might be sincerest form of flattery. It is thereby no surprise that counterfeit Wings West products have cropped up and stand testament to the demand for the products and the name.
As with many companies, Wings West was born from an actual desire to create products that they themselves personally wanted to have. Those feelings are still meshed today.
Years of refinement have created superior parts resulting in a product return rate of less one 1% of total sales. Fewer returns mean happier customers, vendors, retailers, and reduced headaches associated with this. In conjunction with producing superior parts from higher quality materials, technical, one-on-one phone support can walk even least mechanically inclined individual installation. Through the rigorous test fit procedures in the development stage their parts fit without extensive modification by the installers.
Wings West might have been one of the best-kept-secrets for enthusiasts many years ago, but is hardly a secret today. A tremendous of their products and show cars have graced countless magazine covers and have been in features from automotive publications to Fortune Magazine. As substantiation of our involvement in the tuner movement, Wings West project cars have been featured on television's highly visible programs such as "MTV" and "CSI". The big screen isn't immune from the Wings West invasion either. Creating the excitement in "The Fast and The Furious" (Part 1 & 2) was facilitated by generous applications of Wings West spoilers, wings, and body kits. Even America's favorite toy car company, Hot Wheels, has gotten into the game by reproducing numerous Wings West show cars in 1:18th scale.
There is no substitution for seeing the magic with your own eyes. At many of the auto events across the country and around the globe, Wings West is the tuner's choice. The repeated awards auto shows could fill a room. Hundreds of applications over the years have been seen at the SEMA shows, the International Auto Salon (East & West), and Hot Import Nights, as well as numerous others.
Their commitment to providing the absolute highest quality accessories available and keep their customers' desires forefront has proven to be a winning combination.
When it comes to creative designs, no one else comes close. They are the ones that set the trends and they are innovators.
